Welcome to the era of the Anthropocene, a time when humanity imposes its dominance over Earth, relentlessly reshaping its environment, often at the expense of the natural ecosystems that have witnessed a fragile balance for millennia. Through dark and striking conceptual images, these works confront us with the ecological degradation shaping our world: omnipresent infrastructures that devour the landscape, endless highways that stifle nature, polluting industries relentlessly dumping waste into our air, waters, and soils, and cities suffocating under the weight of concrete and asphalt, engulfing everything in their path.

The exhibition highlights a world dominated by overconsumption and insatiable economic development, where the illusion of progress and infinite expansion masks the reality of the damage caused. In this world, humanity seems blind, or worse, deliberately indifferent, to the havoc it wreaks on the planet. Far from becoming aware of the consequences of its actions, it continues its reckless race, ignoring the obvious signs of destruction that multiply daily. Indifference thus becomes a choice, a form of negligence that only worsens the situation as the mistakes of the past continue to repeat themselves, leading to the depletion of biodiversity, the disappearance of natural resources, and the irreversible alteration of our environment.

The works presented in this gallery do not merely denounce a bleak reality; they urge deep and urgent reflection on the future of our planet. If we do not act immediately, it will not only be our generations who pay the price for this negligence, but also our children, our grandchildren, who will inherit a devastated Earth, forever marked by thoughtless choices and an insatiable quest for profit at the expense of life. The exhibition poignantly reminds us that time is running out and that collective awareness is now more essential than ever. The future of our planet and its inhabitants is in our hands.

This theme is part of the next exhibition in May, so stay tuned...
